Karter Yarolim
Karter is a native of Maquoketa and is running for the Maquoketa School Board. He vows to be an advocate for students with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and anxiety. He credits his teachers in the Maquoketa District with helping him overcome his own challenges. His priorities include teacher retention, collaboration, innovation, and open communication. Karter is a clerk at the Fareway store in Maquoketa and Head Coordinator at Innovate 120, an innovation and entrepreneurial hub. He volunteers for More Than a Stage, a non-profit organization he established, the Onward Fine Arts Center, the Maquoketa Historical Society, and Operation Grassroots.
