Elijah is running for re-election as Mayor of the City of Boone, where he has overseen a massive addition of affordable housing, investments in the City’s downtown district, and secured the development of the Daisy Brand production facility, a $1.2 billion investment in the City that will create hundreds of high-quality jobs. In his next term, Elijah will make housing growth, quality of life improvements, and investment in infrastructure his top priorities.

 

Elijah and his wife, Katie, have called Boone home for nearly 20 years, choosing to raise their three children, Avery, Edith, and Henry, in a community full of opportunity and promise. Elijah holds a PhD in Mathematics and is a faculty member at Iowa State University. He previously served on the Boone City Council for five years.
