Brad Cavanagh

Brad and his wife, Jennifer, are the proud parents of two sons, Sam and Andrew. He was elected Mayor of the City of Dubuque in 2021. Before that, he served on the Dubuque City Council. Brad is also a small business owner, a social worker, and a former associate professor at Loras College. The Iowa Mayor’s Association recently honored him with the prestigious Mayor of the Year award. Brad is the Immediate Past President of the Iowa League of Cities and a member of the U.S. Conference of Mayors, DBQ Initiatives, DBQ Air, and the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce. Brad is running for reelection because he believes in the City of Dubuque and has never been more excited about its future.
